About

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist I wholeheartedly believe that the healing process begins with a safe, trusting, and collaborative therapeutic relationship. I look at life’s issues through a trauma-informed lens, meaning that I truly believe each individual is doing the best they can with what they’ve been taught or given. I work from a Person-Centered framework, meaning that I meet each person with empathy and authenticity.

Throughout my years as a therapist I have had several clients ask me what brought me to the profession. This question always takes me back to memories of working within a social work non-profit. During my time in the non-profit world I worked a variety of jobs from facilitating state mandate meetings for foster youth and their support team; providing in-home visiting to new/expecting mothers to facilitate healthy attachments and developmental growth; and supporting individuals affected by the CAMP fire in Chico, CA. I enjoyed my roles in these positions but knew there was more I could do to foster deeper connections and growth for my clients, and the community as a whole. This passion for the helping field brought me to Simpson University where I received a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology.

I have had the opportunity to work with a variety of clients including children, teenagers, adults, elders, and individuals with disabilities. I’ve provided therapy in many different settings such as private practice, homes, schools, and intensive outpatient programs.

Whether you're dealing with life transitions, emotional regulation, self-image, boundary setting, or childhood wounds; my role is to try to understand your pain, difficulties, and hardships while guiding you through the healing/change process. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me with any questions, I am here to support you in any way I can.
